Throwback Thursday: Costal Virginia Magazine Best of 2021 Party / Yelp's Night Out
Every year, Coastal Virginia (COVA) magazine rewards the best of the best at their “Best of Party.” I’ve always heard such good things about these parties; however, it wasn’t until this year that I was afforded the opportunity to attend thanks to Yelp Coastal Virginia.
I was super excited to go because I haven’t been to any big parties in quite some time (thanks to the pandemic). My friends and I bought outfits to fit the “Roaring 20s” theme. We came ready to party and have a good time, and the party did not disappoint! There was a live band, casino tables, and even a fortune-teller.
I also loved all of the photo opportunities. My friends and I took full advantage of the photo booths inside and we snagged photos in front of the 1920s Model-T that was used for decoration outside.

Whew, chile! All the food was delicious, but baby it was the macaroni and cheese eggrolls from Saté for me. Oh, and of course S’mores Amore was fab as well. I gave both of them a vote for the best dishes of the night.
I would like to give a shout out to the fried rice from Oishii Burger, the chocolate mousse from the Art Institute of Virginia, and the BBQ Chicken Pizza from Pelican Pete’s, as they were all fab. All in all, I had a great time with my friends and fellow Yelp Elites, and I’m glad I was finally able to attend a COVA Best of Party. I will definitely be in attendance next year.
